Welcome To Tomlinson Stonecraft
Bespoke hand carved natural stone fireplaces & architectural stonemasonry
Established in 2002 by Paul Tomlinson who attended the City of Bath College while serving an apprenticeship to learn the trade - the City of Bath College being the main training centre for this dying art.
The business is located in Carnforth, just north of the City of Lancaster, Lancashire, close to the M6 junction 35, where we have a stone fireplace showroom at our stonemasonry workshop.
Our stone fireplaces and stonemasonry portfolio covers the whole of the U.K. We have installed stone fireplaces as far north as Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland, to the south coast of England. We have also shipped to France, Portugal, Ireland and Germany.
We specialise in hand carved natural stone fireplaces and stone fireplace surrounds. We also undertake all other types of architectural stonemasonry including window and door surrounds, mullions/sills, pillars/columns, garden furniture, sculptures commissioned, stands, bird baths, date stones and pet headstones, all made in beautiful natural stone.
Tomlinson Stonecraft offers a truly bespoke service recreating your own personal design from a picture or drawing. We hand carve all our stone fireplaces using traditional stonemasonry techniques using solid natural stone direct from the quarries in the U.K.
Whether a traditional or contemporary design, a natural stone fireplace has a unique beauty and character. Tomlinson Stonecraft uses several types of the finest natural British stone, including Yorkstone, Sandstone, Grit stone and Bath stone. These allow for a wide choice of colour and texture to suit your personal taste.
We offer a one to one service between client and craftsmen, combining a friendly and reliable approach with great enthusiasm for stonecraft and stone architecture.
